I'm auditioning as a living statue. Any idea how fucking boring a living statue is standing around? Yes, yes, yes you do.

I have ten minutes of an audition to kill and I'd like you and your friends, your children, your neighbors, your pets and houseplants to come and help me kill it :).

Me: silver Victorian lady, parasol, spends her time getting ready in front of a mirror, primping, and then actually standing still.

You: are my 'audience.' you are a passerby, a Midwestern tourist who's never seen ANYTHING like this before, find it hilarious, amazing, ridiculous, photo-worthy, heckle-worthy, anything at all. Maybe you just walk past because you see these things ALL the time.

Whatever, yo. Most of the fun (to me) of being a living statue is the interaction between me and the audience. With no audience I'm just a girl in a costume. Whoop de fuck. So come on out and help :) (I don't want to rely on the given audience rocking socks; I only have ten minutes to impress the judges!)

anyone know where i can come up with a cloak clasp before, say, Monday? or Tuesday afternoon in a pinch? Silly us, we forgot to order one on eBay before now!!

How do you get to Symphony Hall? Have successful friends! Amanda Palmer and the Boston Pops are up at Symphony Hall tonight and tomorrow, and if you look really closely, you'll see me too. It'll be a lot of fun, and hey! Some tickets are only $10. But I won't have a stuffed plush hamster on my head.

On Saturday and Sunday, the SummersDay Revels Festival is up at Fort Point! I'll be flying on aerial lyra by the Main Stage with What Cheer! Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band will be there! And it's FREE! 5 - 9-ish; I go on ~6 both days.

AND THEN, after the festival on Saturday, check out HUMANWINE and the luminescent orchestrii at Berklee! $15/$10

HUGE thanks to all who made it happen, Chuck, Bonnie and Johnny Blazes for directing and organizing our asses, Regis for cat-herding, Dozer for being the best lyra partner EVAR, the oddchildren for making me laugh and a blast of filter-free silliness, Holly and M@ of HUMANWINE for singing and being wonderful company and entertainers (as always), Elizabeth for helping me keep my costume pants on my ass (along with my awesome team of dressers to get me out and in costuming), aaron for rescuing me and my broken bike in central, carl for being so supportive, the cast for ROCKING HOUSE, and every single one of you who came to see it :). I love performing, we had great shows, and it was a total hit. I can't wait to do this again. Now, if only I could do this for a living....
